Logging Update - 7/1/26

A now a word from our friends at Kiangaroa Tipu,

"Kia ora koutou,

Kaingaroa Tipu’s road-line harvest contractor has moved into the block adjacent to their current operation on Red Tank Road. Operational hours for the logging crew remain the same, 5:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday. Please see attached a map showing the updated area of operation.

Stop/Go and appropriate closures/diversions will be in place as required. The trucking route will also change as the crew move into Princess Anne Road, with trucks using Nice Road (entry), Pipeline Road, and Hill Road to enter/exit the harvest area.

Several roads and trails will be impacted by this operation, these being:

Roads – Red Tank Road, Princess Anne

Mountain Bike Trails – Dragons Tail, Be Rude Not 2, Sweet and Sour

Horse Riding Trail – Te Ara Puna

Timberlands requests that forest users please use caution in the area, obey all signage, instructions, restrictions and respect the traffic controllers – they are there for your safety."
