The adopter absolutely crashed it on the vegetation and tidy up of this trail, putting in some serious hours doing some hard mahi! Legendary effort buddy!

The Rotorua Trails Trust crew blew the pathway up to the start of the trail so that it’s a bit nicer to get up there. 🚵♀️💨 I still love this trail so much! 😍

If you have ever caught the shuttles 🚌🚴♂️, you’ll know how awesome the shuttle drivers are—always helping us load our bikes, tell us what trails we should ride, and cranking the tunes 🎵🔥 to keep us stoked! What you might not know is that when they are not driving the shuttles, Mountain Bike Rotorua also funds their drivers to go out and do trail work and tidy up trails all over the forest. 🌲💪 Legends! 🏆🏅

Here is the adopter giving us a report of the work they have done and the trail conditions:🛠️ "Spent a few hours fixing, raking, trimming etc. The trail looks good but bone dry in places, fingers crossed for a bit of rain." 🌦️🤞

The long and tough job of wrangling the vegetation back has begun. 🌾🌳 It is hot and tiring work ☀️💦, but we love it! ❤️ Thanks to all the riders who came past and said thank you 🙏, it keeps us going and is why we love doing what we do. 💖 It’s not all building berms and jumps 🚵♂️, sometimes it's digging drains and cutting vegetation for 8 hours. Either way, it makes the trails better, so we love it! 💪💯

Ok, so sometimes it is about building berms! 😆 This week (after finishing off the Double Down revamp) the crew headed over to the end of Yellow Brick Road to refresh the last few corners. 🛤️ 🚴♂️ Go check it out, it’s super fun and flows awesome now! 🔄🔥

🐝 It’s that time of the month again! The Monthly Working Bee! 🛠️ This time we are heading deep into the forest 🌲 to smash out some serious mahi on The Wash.
This Grade 3 two-way trail is in desperate need of vegetation clearing, drain digging, and lines of sight opening up. 💪🔥
🥤 Bring a water bottle 🚰 and closed-toe shoes with decent grip 👟. If you would rather meet up in the forest, we will be on-site at 9:30am, see ya there! 👀
👨👩👧👦 Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
