🛠️ The Rotorua Trails Trust has been flat out clearing up after the combined storms over Easter and this past weekend.🌧️ Lots of rain, 💨 some very large gusts of wind = 🌳 lots of trees decided to have a lay down on the trails.

📸 Big thanks to everyone who reported trees with accurate pin drop locations and pictures – really helped us find and clear them 🙌

💪 HUGE thanks to the volunteer tree clear-up crew who sacrificed their Sunday to go out and clear trails. Absolute legends! 🧡

📈 Since Easter, Rotorua Trails Trust has cleared:💸 $3,500 worth of time spent clearing trees.

🚴‍♂️ Mini DH

The trail adopter has been very busy keeping Mini DH running awesome. This last week they…🛠️ “Fixed up a jump and tidied up again last week’s work.” Stellar stuff! 🌟

🦁 Lion Trail

Here is the trail adopter, in their own words:

“Been awhile. Raked a huge amount of debris (Ferns, Bark, sticks). Only went to early exit as that took more time than I thought. Cleared all drains.... delighted NO MUD considering weather since Easter!! Fair bit of Silt in places... will attack that next time. 6 riders through... all happy!!!!”

👏 I bet they were mate – the trail’s in great condition. Well done!

🌀 Whaki

Love it when we get to hear from the adopters in person. Here’s the Whaki adopter’s summary of their mahi:

“Fixed the three slips up top, filled a hole and opened awesome drainsno photos cos I left the phone at home do’h 😅”

Apumoana:

“Full trail walk 🚶‍♂️ leaf blower 🍃trimmer ✂️ some fallen branches 🌿 and chucked some punga fronds off the trailwork included Lentil Road entrance and Apumoana extension – got the first km of Whaki cleared but ran out of noise juice.”

😂 Lol thanks mate – the trail copped it pretty bad after the storms. MASSIVE appreciation 🙌
