NZ Pump Track National Champs

Celebrating Community, Celebrating Trails 🚴‍♀️

On 21 September, Rotorua's Velosolutions Pump Track was alive with energy as it hosted the NZ Pump Track National Champs. What a day! From the buzz of the track to the cheers of the crowd, it was a true testament to what we can achieve together.

This track didn't just appear overnight. It took 5 years of fundraising, planning, and community support. And at the heart of it all was the Rotorua Trails Trust, a community organisation dedicated to supporting, building and maintaining world-class trails for everyone to enjoy.

A huge thank you to the Rotorua Single Speed Society for securing funding from the One Foundation, and to the Rotorua BMX Club for their invaluable support. Local riders like Dan Butterworth and Shania Rawson showed us how it's done, and even track builder Craig Pattle got in on the action, winning his category (though he might have created that category just for himself 😉).

But beyond the events and the accolades, it's the everyday riders, volunteers, and supporters who make the magic happen. The Rotorua Trails Trust is more than just a name, it's a community effort that keeps our trails maintained and accessible for all.

If you love riding in Rotorua, consider supporting the Trails Trust by becoming a member. For just $20 a year, you help maintain and grow the trails we all cherish.
